The recent take over of Afghanistan by Taliban has caused immense uncertainty and insecurity across Afghanistan. Apart from political change an chaos, women in Afghanistan are facing violence, oppression, brutality and exploitation under the changed regime.

The Afghan Refugee Women's Association staged a protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in which around 400 women from various parts of Delhi took part.

"We the Afghan Refugee Women's Association condemn these ongoing atrocities and subjugation of women and children in Afghanistan. Hence, our Association decided to organise a peaceful protest in collaboration with Awaz E Khwateen to raise our voice and stand in solidarity with women in Afghanistan," the organisers said in a release.
