Maruti Suzuki India on Friday, May 1 has reported zero monthly domestic sales for the first time ever in April amid the lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19, reported news agency Reuters.

The operations were suspended by Maruti Suzuki from March 22, in line with orders from central government to curb the spread of coronavirus.

On Friday morning, total cases in India climbed to over 35,000, including 1,147 deaths.
