Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has refused to fly with Indigo. Instead, he preferred waking up at 4 AM and taking and a Vistara flight, stated a report published in Indian Express.

The well-known celeb has decided to not fly with the four airlines (IndiGo, Air India, GoAir and SpiceJet) which have banned stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra after his face-off with television anchor and journalist Arnab Goswami on a flight, according to Indian Express.

In a conversation with The Telegraph, Kashyap said, “I will wake up at 4 am but I will not fly IndiGo.”

He tweeted the same, “No @IndiGo6E .. on @airvistara .. in solidarity with @kunalkamra88.”

While addressing the audience in a film festival in Kolkata, Anurag Kashyap said, “I took the decision because of the way the things happened. The thing is: one minister says Kunal Kamra won’t be allowed to fly Air India and requests other airlines to follow suit. Airlines are trying to appease the government. Imagine, the government is being the bully and everybody is so afraid of the government, (they are) trying to appease him. Without any official order, without any investigation, they declare a ban on this man. They have not bothered to speak to the pilots. This is arrogance. This is bullying by this government. I will not fly the four airlines till Kunal Kamra is allowed to fly.”

After being banned from four airlines Kunal karmra himself took a Vistara flight, he tweeted a picture of himself infront of Vistara counter at the airport.

Including Kashyap, many other Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of Kunal Kamra. Some of them expressed their feelings about the incident on Twitter and supported the comedian:

After a small run-in between Kunal Kamra and Arnab Goswami, the civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri had in a tweet asked airlines to ban Kunal Kamra for ‘unruly behaviour’ completely sidelining the rules.

It’s important to note here that television anchor Arnab Goswami is well-known for his pro-government leaning and aggressive propaganda in favour of the present ruling regime.
