Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to address Bharat Bachao rally in Delhi on December 14 

The Congress will hold a protest rally in Delhi’s historic Ramlila Maidan on December 14 against anti-people policies of Modi government

A massive protest rally at Delhi’s historic Ramlila Maidan on Saturday, December 14 against anti-people policies of Modi government will be organised, confirmed Congress sources.

The “Bharat Bachao” rally was earlier scheduled for November 30 was postponed due to the on-going winter session of the parliament.

Congress party has asked all its frontal organisations and state units to mobilise people for the rally, sources privy to the development told NH.

According to sources, issues such as economic slowdown, rising unemployment and farmers' death will be highlighted in the rally. All top leaders including former PM Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi are expected to address the rally.


Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also address the rally. She is expected to visit Lucknow soon to take stock of the preparations. Uttar Pradesh is likely to send a large contingent of people and all district Congress Committees have been asked to mobilise people.

Besides, a “volunteer force” under the direction of Priyanka Gandhi has also been formed in order to help and mobilise people for the rally. According to sources, UP Congress is also planning to set-up a 24 x 7 all center to answer queries about the rally.

A pre-recorded message of Priyanka Gandhi, appealing people to reach the rally ground will be delivered through the call centre, claimed party sources.

“This is happening the first time that the Congress party is using technology on this scale to disseminate political message in UP, claimed party sources.

Priyanka Gandhi has instructed all district unites to spread the message to the ground level through such as wall-writing, posters, catchy slogans, and banners.
