BJP MLA harrasses Vegetable vendor, says he was Muslim and using Hindu name

BJP MLA Brij Bhushan Sharan was seen harassing a Muslim vegetable vendor in a viral video. He can be heard asking him to not enter the area for identifying himself with a Hindu name. According to news agency ANI, Bhushan has accepted that he was seen in the video. He clarified that the reason for reprimanding the vegetable seller was that he was lying.

Sharan said, "The vendor said his name was Rajkumar while his name is Rehmuddin. He wasn't wearing masks and gloves. We know,16 vegetable sellers in Kanpur and 1 in Lucknow tested COVID-19 positive."


Earlier, a video of BJP MLA Suresh Tiwari had gone viral on social media in which he could be heared asking people not to purchase vegetables from Muslim vendors. Tiwari who represents the Barhaj constituency is seen telling people, "Keep one thing in mind, I am telling everyone openly, no one should purchase vegetables from miyas Muslims.”
