The Central Board of Film Certification, in a statement, has urged the entertainment industry to support the government's efforts in controlling the spread of the coronavirus.

The statement says that filmmakers would be required to incorporate messages promoting Covid appropriate behaviour and encouraging people to get vaccinated in all their films and entertainment programmes.

The same guidelines will have to be followed by the OTT platforms, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, the statement added.


"Given the impact the films and media industry has on its viewers, your support would go a long way towards sensitizing the general public and thereby, containing the spread of Covid-19 in the country," said the statement.
