The Congress party has strongly condemned the injustice done to the 5.85 crore families of Pearl Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) as well as about 12 crore victims of the various Chit Fund scams. The party is taking a very serious view of this organised fraud.

The party has already commenced the work on its pre state election written undertaking given to the All Investor Safety Organisation (AISO) members in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan where the local Congress governments have opened PACL Help Centres at the block level to assist citizens with the online portal of SEBI and address their woes. The Congress government in Chhattisgarh has also decided to withdraw case registered on chit fund agents.

The Congress promised that within six months of government formation, 5.85 crore families afflicted by PACL will be ensured payment with interest according to the February 2, 2016 decision of the Supreme Court and it will work towards passing stringent laws to curb such scams which attack the right to dignity of the citizens.

During a meeting with the members of All Investor Safety Organisation, the Congress asserted that it will work closely with the organisation to take up this issue at the grassroot level as well as in the Parliament to get justice for the victims of PACL and other chit fund scams.
