With 2,259 new patients detected, number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra rises to 90,787; death toll stands at 3,289 with 120 deaths on Tuesday: Health official

A 59-year-old sub-inspector of Delhi Police died on Tuesday due to coronavirus, officials said.

Earlier, one constables and two assistant sub-inspectors of Delhi police had died due to COVID-19.

Another constable, who had underlying health conditions and had been on leave since November last year, also died last week. Police said his test for COVID-19 also came positive.

The sub-inspector who died on Tuesday has been identified as Karambeer. He was posted in northeast district, they said.
