BJP MLAs continue to raise the issue of corruption in their government as once again the law maker from Gopamau in Hardoi, Shyam Prakash, wrote a post on his FB page saying this government is the most corrupt government in the history of Uttar Pradesh.

He said: “Corruption under the Yogi government is at its peak.”

‘Corruption under the Yogi government is at its peak’, says BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh

Posting his views on social media on Tuesday, he said:" I have never seen such a corrupt government in my long political career. The corruption I have heard and seen is very dangerous. Whoever complains about corruption to higher officials gets involved in it and tries to earn money. Corruption seems to be a never ending thing now."

This is not the first time that the BJP MLA has questioned his own government. In April this year, he had raised the issue of misuse of the legislator's fund. He had even written a letter to Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Hardoi to return his contribution of Rs 25 lakh from the Vidhayak Nidhi (Legislator’s fund) which he had donated for the purchase of masks, PPEs, sanitizers and other equipments alleging corruption in their purchase.

In his letter of April 16, he had suggested that the CDO transfer Rs 25 lakh for purchase of medical equipment. “This is a time of emergency. As a public representative it is my right to know what has happened with the money. I had enquired from the administration but did not get any response whereas I believe the administration should have expedited the process and purchase should have been initiated by now,” Prakash told this reporter when he contacted him then.

He claimed that the officials in Hardoi hospital were asking for ‘commission’.

However, he later withdrew the letter after a meeting with the District Magistrate.

Several users took to microblogging website Twitter following the FB post by Shyam Prakash.
