Exit polls by various news channels have predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to retain power with a comfortable majority in the Delhi Assembly elections. An average of all figures show that the AAP may win around 52 seats in the 70-seat Assembly. The BJP comes a distant second with around 17 seats and the Congress with a chance to win one seat.

Coming a few days after Union Amit Shah claimed that the BJP would form the government with 45 states, the indications are pretty clear that the BJP’s polarising strategy by dividing the voters on communal lines have not gone down well with the majority of Delhi’s voters.

While Republic TV gave AAP 48-61 seats, it gave the BJP 09-21 seats and the Congress 0-1 seat.

Times Now gave AAP 44 seats, the BJP 26 and the Congress 1.

News X gave AAP between 50 and 56 seats and the BJP 10-14 seats.

India News gave AAP between 53-57 seats, the BJP 11-17 seats and the Congress 0-2 seats.

ABP News have predicted AAP to win about 49-63 seats. It has given the BJP around 5-19 seats and the Congress 0-4 seats.

In the 2015 Assembly polls, AAP had won 67 seats and the BJP three.
