The Muslim Students Federation (MSF), student wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), is organising a national level seminar on the Draft National Educational Policy on Wednesday (July 17) at the Constitution Club in New Delhi where education experts and political leaders will speak.

“The draft policy misses the critical opportunity to address the inequalities prevalent in the educational system and also fails to bridge the gap between the rich and poor. It also damages the secular fabric which India nurtured for several decades,” T.P. Ashrafali, President MSF national committee, said.

The panel of speakers include AICC Research wing Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP professor Rajeev Gowda, DMK Leader Kanimozhi, AAP leader Atishi Marlena and IUML national organising secretary ET Mohammed Basheer MP.

The MSF will also distribute fellowships to the selected meritorious students from different universities in India in the memory of its leader the late E. Ahamed, who was a former Union minister and national president of IUML.

The fellowship will be awarded to four society-oriented disciplines, viz, law, journalism, social work and education.
