Former RSS chief of Goa Unit Subash Velingkar on Wednesday, October 24, accused the Central leadership of BJP of putting pressure on feeble Manohar Parrikar to continue as CM of Goa.

“It is unfortunate. But he was not allowed to rest…he should have got rest for nearly eight months. He was made to stand in the state Assembly. He did not do it on his own – they (BJP) had to keep the government here going. Therefore he was pressured by the central leadership to do these, I believe. Even if he wants to quit, because he believes that he is not doing justice to it, he is not allowed. He is also not able to take a decision – people are at a loss as a result,” said Subhash Velingkar.

Subhash Velingkar was addressing an RSS meet in Mandrem, north Goa. It will go to the bypolls after Congress MLA Dayanad Sopte quit and joined the BJP

He also said the BJP leadership is responsible for a lot of “wrong decisions”, including the manner in which it continues to put pressure on Parrikar to remain chief minister.

Velingkar also said that there is restlessness in the care after induction two Congress MLA.

“There is restlessness in the RSS. The entry of two (Congress MLAs) has triggered disgust in RSS. The decision was taken from the top without consulting grassroots workers..”
