Gurmeet Goyat, who goes by the name “Goldy Goyat” on YouTube, is a 12-year-old from Jind who has interviewed political personalities such as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leaders Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Chautala, among others. He has a YouTube channel with 206 videos featuring different politicians and bureaucrats.

“It was my grandfather's dream to see me make a name for myself in the society, he has passed away now, I regret he could not see me doing it. I have done more than 100 interviews till now, I started making videos in January this year. I want to pursue journalism till 2034 and contest elections after that, I will contest as an independent candidate,” says Gurmeet.

Whether it is about party infighting or the ruling BJP’s target of winning 75 seats, Goldy asks sharp, harsh questions to any of the leaders he interviews. He shot to fame with the title “Junior Reporter”, Goldy has posted over 200 videos of him interviewing politicians over the last few months, reported The Indian Express.

Goldy said, “I keep a track of politicians’ movement through newspapers and TV channels. I have a number of friends who act as my sources. I use my contacts to reach out to the politician, fix an appointment and then reach there and ask questions.”

“Goldy can speak several languages, including Hindi, English, French, Punjabi and Haryanvi. Once he completes 10+2, I am going to put him into a mass communication course so that he can pursue his passion,” Jitender Kumar, his father said.
