Taking a serious view of a steep rise in Coronavirus cases, the Haryana government on Monday imposed night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am. The restrictions will come into force from Tuesday night till further orders, the government said.

An order issued by the state government said that there shall be prohibition on movement of individuals for all non-essential activities between 9 PM to 5 AM across the state. “No person shall leave their homes or shall move on foot or by vehicle or travel or stand or roam around on any road or public places during the above said hours,” it said.

The state has 20,981 active Covid cases as on Monday. Several other states including the neighbouring Delhi and Uttar Pradesh too have announced fresh restrictions amidst rising Covid cases.
