5-judge Constitution bench to hear from Tuesday pleas challenging abrogation of Article 370

A 5-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court is all set to commence on Tuesday the crucial hearing on the challenge mounted to the legal validity of the Centre's abrogation of the provision of Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

A bench headed by the CJI Ranjan Gogoi, which on Monday dealt with other related petitions concerning the issues arising after the constitutional changes were brought in J&K, said all such matters would now be adjudicated upon by a 3-judge bench headed by Justice Ramana.
