Horrific! A mother commits suicide with two children by jumping into a well in Patna's Bikram

A woman and two children have reportedly committed suicide by jumping into a well in Bikram, Patna. The video of the horrific incident has been doing rounds on various social media platforms.

According to website bigbharatmedia.com, the incident took place on Sunday, November 21, around 12:30 in the afternoon, when a person was sitting near weighing station (dharamkanta). Meanwhile, a woman, who was about 27 years old, came with her two children in her arms. The age of one child was about one and a half years and another child was about 3 years old. She then went towards the handpump near the well.

This person who was sitting nearby thought that the woman was looking for a secluded place to defecate. Thinking this, the man reportedly instructed the woman to take care of the children, as the well is open. Then he left for a while so that the woman could defecate in solitude.

After a while, when he went back, he saw that there was no trace of the woman. One sandal was lying near the well and the other was kept on top of the well. When he reached near the well and peeped, both the children were seen in agony. In a hurry, he informed the Bikram police station and called the staff working at the station. Some people gathered and started trying to get the children out of the well. After much effort, the children were pulled out of the well. But by then both had died.

Meanwhile, after receiving the information, Dharmendra Kumar, in-charge of Bikram police station also reached at the site along with the police force. Efforts were also made to retrieve the dead body of the woman. After some time, the body of the woman was also taken out. People tried to identify the dead bodies, but it could not be confirmed, according to bigbharatmedia.com.

When the police checked the CCTV camera installed there, it was found that the woman had first thrown the baby in her lap into the well. After that, the three-year-old child was pushed into the well and then she jumped herself.
