The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned Richa, the widow of gangster Vikas Dubey, regarding the financial dealings of her late husband.
The Enforcement Directorate is probing a money laundering case, which was registered last month against Vikas Dubey and his 10 associates, including his financier Jaikant Bajpai, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The probe agency had reportedly registered the case on the basis of around 60 FIRs against Vikas Dubey and his associates in different parts of Uttar Pradesh. Officials had said that they came across instances where prima facie money had crossed the border.
A list of all properties acquired by Dubey have been prepared by the ED. "Some of these assets are in the name of his wife and children and others are benami property," said a senior ED official on condition of anonymity.

IPL betting racket busted in Karnataka, one held
With the arrest of one person, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru police claimed to have busted an Indian Premier League (IPL) betting racket running in the city. They also recovered Rs 30 lakh and a mobile phone from his possession.
According to the CCB, the arrested accused has been identified as Santhosh (33), a resident of Banashankari in the city.
The police added that Santhosh was arrested from a petrol pump on Tuesday where he had allegedly come to share the betting money with those who had bet with him.
A police officer said that the accused had organised betting during an IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals on Monday night.

UP Pollution Control Board imposes over Rs 97 lakh fine on 24 paper mills
The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has imposed a fine of over Rs 97 lakh on 24 paper mills for creating pollution and releasing contaminated water into drains in the district.
According to Regional Officer of UPPCB, Ankit Singh, Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority chairman Bhure Lal inspected these sites two days ago and found them violating environment norms and creating pollution.
These paper mills are situated on Bhopa Road, Jansath Road and Jolly Road in the district, Singh said, adding that the department has imposed a fine of Rs 97.5 lakh on these paper mills.

Chinese PLA soldier, held after he strayed into Ladakh, handed back
A Chinese soldier, who was caught by Indian forces in eastern Ladakh after he strayed across the Line of Actual Control (LAC), was handed back to China on Tuesday night. The soldier, identified as Corporal Wang Ya Long, was caught in the Chumar-Demchok area, the army said on Monday.
The soldier was questioned by China experts before he was handed back to the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), according to sources.
On Monday, the army had said that the soldier would be returned to the Chinese Army "as per established protocol after following due procedure". He was provided medical assistance including oxygen, food and warm clothes "to protect him from the vagaries of extreme altitude and harsh climatic conditions", the army said in a statement.
