T'gana records 472 new COVID cases taking tally to 2,84,863
Two more persons succumbed to COVID-19 while 472 new infections were reported in Telangana on Sunday, health officials said.
During the last 24 hours, 472 new positive cases were reported from across the state taking the state's tally going up to 2,84,863.
The fresh fatalities pushed the state's tally to 1,531.
The fatality rate remained 53 per cent as against the national average of 1.4 per cent.
According to the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, 44.96 per cent of the deaths occurred due to COVID-19 while 55.04 per cent had comorbidities.

Nothing alarming in Rajinikanth's test reports, says hospital
There is nothing alarming in the test reports of superstar Rajinikanth, Apollo Hospital said on Sunday.
"All the investigations reports have come in and there is nothing alarming in the reports. The team of doctors will evaluate him this afternoon and take a decision on his discharge," said the latest medical bulletin issued by the hospital.
The 70-year-old was admitted to the hospital on Friday with severe fluctuations in blood pressure.
Ayodhya students booked on sedition charges
A group of students of the Saket College in Ayodhya have been booked under sedition charges after they allegedly raised 'azaadi' slogans during their protest against the delay in announcing the dates of the students' union elections.
The police have registered a sedition case on the complaint of the college principal.
