Malaysia reports six new COVID-19 cases
Malaysia has reported six new COVID-19 infections, pushing the tally to 9,291, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that one of the new cases is imported and five more are local transmissions.
Another seven cases have been released, bringing the total cured and discharged to 8,978, or 96.6 per cent, of all cases.
3 killed as truck collides with lorry in Punjab's Ludhiana
Three people were killed when a truck rammed into a lorry at GT road near Doraha, about 25 km from here, on Wednesday, police said.
The three included two women who were labourers at a brick kiln in Moga. They were travelling in the back of the lorry, police said.

Uttarakhand CM isolates himself, tests COVID negative
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has isolated himself for three days as a precautionary measure despite his novel coronavirus test report coming negative.
Sharing this information on the social media on Tuesday, Rawat said he and his family underwent a COVID-19 test along with the staff and the security personnel at the CMO as a precautionary measure.
"With the grace of God and your blessings the report is negative. However, as a precaution, I will remain in isolation for the next three days and discharge my duties from my residence telephonically or by using virtual platforms," he tweeted.
The chief minister chose to undergo a coronavirus test after an officer on special duty tested positive for the infection recently.
