On the day when the nation remembered Mahatma Gandhi on his 71st death anniversary, Hindu Mahasabha recreated the assassination of the Father of the Nation, garlanded his murderer Nathuram Godse and distributed sweets to commemorate the assassination.

The shocking incident has been reported from Aligarh where the controversial Hindu Mahasabha’s national secretary Puja Shakun Pandey shot at Mahatma Gandhi’s effigy, following which blood like liquid was made to ooze out of the effigy. And this was stage performed in front of a contingent of media persons.

Even though the Hindu outfit has celebrated the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in the past also, but this is for the first time when the entire assassination was recreated.

Soon after the video of this event was circulated over social media, it evoked sharp reactions on Twitter. Demanding strong action against the accused activists of Hindu outfit, several users have slammed the ruling BJP.



In August last year, the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha had announced to have established the "first Hindu court" in Meerut. Pooja was nominated as the first judge of the “court”.

Previously, Pooja had threatened to kill herself, seeking the Prime Minister's permission to commit euthanasia. In a letter signed in blood, she had reportedly accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of playing vote bank politics by bringing the amendment to the SC/ST Act.

A few days ago, a right-wing group had paid tributes to Queen Victoria, marking her 118th death anniversary in New Delhi. Members of the Hindu Sena praised Queen Victoria, saying it was she who “freed India from the autocratic rule of the Mughals.”
