Gautam Shrivastava is a happy man, excited too. His daughter, Meghna Shrivastava has topped the CBSE class 12 exams. Meghna has scored 99.8% . She secured 499 marks out of 500. She is a student of Step By Step School, Noida, and is from the Humanities stream.
‘We had never imagined that. This news will take time to sink in. We all are very excited,” said the jubilant father. Gautam Shrivastava worked in the sales department of a media house. Now he is associated with the management of Manav Rachna University.
Talking about her study routine, Gautam said Meghna has been a very consistent student. She did not spend hours studying. Instead, she remained very regular with her classes and studies.
Meghna’s father attributes her success to the teachers’ endeavours. “Her teachers and school (Step By Step School, Noida) worked hard with all the students,” he said.
What are Meghna’s plans for future? “She wants to pursue psychology. We will be looking at the options available here in India and overseas too,” said the father.
The topper of CBSE class 12 is extremely fond of music and films. She too is excited and will take time to adjust to this new-found success, her father said, adding that though she was expecting good marks but she also did not expect to top the board examinations.
CBSE class 12 results were announced on Saturday and the girls once again have performed better than boys.
