MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi applies for gun license in Ranchi

Cricketer MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi has applied for a pistol or 0.32 revolver license at Ranchi magistrate’s office. After investigation, the application file has reportedly been sent to the DSP office

Sakshi, wife of former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has applied for a license for arms, citing threat to life as a reason. Sakshi has said in the application that she is mostly alone at her house, and as such her life is in danger. Sakshi has applied at the Ranchi Magistrates' Office a for pistol or 0.32 revolver license. After investigation, the application file has reportedly been sent to the DSP office by the Algoda police station. After scrutiny of application, the witness can be given a license to buy arms.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni lives with his wife in his new residence in Ratu police station area of Ranchi. His residence spread over several acres. Seven guards equipped with state-of-the-art weapons are always stationed at their residence. In spite of this, Dhoni's wife, Sakshi, has applied for a license for arms. Before Sakshi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had also obtained license for a pistol 9 years ago. In 2008, unknown miscreants had demanded Rs 50 lakh from Dhoni. In this regard, Dhoni had filed an FIR at the Doranda police station.
