If there is one lesson for us from the experience of past many months, it is that we all are in this together. And United By Blood (UBB) – a civil society mission making the headlines since the second wave of Covid, believes that it is all the more important for citizens to stand together as a community against the pandemic.

UBB has now come up with yet another innovative initiative – Vax Benefits. Vax-Benefits is a one-of-a-kind campaign aimed at creating mass awareness in favor of vaccination amongst citizens. The campaign appeals to those who have vaccinated to talk about their vaccination on social media and motivate others to join the league. The participants can book a slot at UBB partner outlets and claim their free Vax-Benefits in the form of alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks or desserts.

“This Independence day, as a token of gratitude for your duty as a responsible citizen in getting vaccinated as soon as you could, UBB partner merchants (restaurants and other retailers) have come forward with special freebies and offers (Vax Benefits) for you”, said IAS Abhishek Singh in his social media post, launching Vax Benefits.

Many leading restaurants and retail chains including the likes of Social, Ophelia, Summer House Café, Qubitos Café and Auro Kitchen and Bar have joined UBB’s Vax-Benefit programme. The campaign is now live in multiple cities including Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh and Pune.

United By Blood is a not-for-profit civil society mission which is working on Covid relief efforts across India. It is driven by IAS Abhishek Singh and SIGMA, an independent student think-tank consisting of students from IITs and IIMs.

Ever since the second wave of Covid struck in April 2021, United By Blood has been at the forefront of Covid relief efforts. UBB set up more than a dozen ‘Vaccination in Car’ drive through facilities, vaccinating more than 5000 citizens pan-India.

At the peak of oxygen crises in Delhi/NCR - OxyTaxi, the free home delivery service for oxygen launched by UBB has also been able to respond to more than 200 SOS oxygen requests within 3 weeks. UBB had started it’s relief efforts by creating India’s largest transparent, location based and real-time network of plasma donors on www.unitedbyblood.com with 1000+ donors and 2000+ patients from across India.

At a time of crisis like this, United by Blood is a way for us to look beyond our divisions of nationality, region, caste, color or religion and be united for humanity. It is a mission that believes in peace, harmony, a sense of community and collective responsibility.
