‘Not wrong,’ says Keshav Prasad Maurya over UP cop’s ‘go to Pakistan’ remark
Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said the remark was not wrong as it was not meant for all Muslims.

Reacting on a video of Meerut (City) SP Akhilesh N Singh asking some protesters against Citizesnhip Act to “go to Pakistan” went viral, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said the remark was “not wrong” as it was not meant for “all Muslims”.
“He did not say it for all Muslims but probably to those who were raising pro-Pakistan slogans while pelting stones. For anyone involved in such activities, SP city’s statement is not wrong,” Maurya said to news agency ANI.
Earlier in the day, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said "action must be taken" against the Uttar Pradesh cop who was seen in a viral video making communal statements in a Muslim locality in Meerut last Friday.
A video had went viral on Saturday of Superintendent of Police (City) of Meerut Akhilesh Narayan Singh in west Uttar Pradesh saying “The ones tying black and yellow bands, tell them to go to Pakistan. You eat here but sing praises of another place… This lane is now familiar to me. And once I remember, I can even reach your grandmother ( Yeh jo kaali aur peeli patti baande huye hain inse keh do Pakistan chale jao…khaoge yahan ka, gaoge kahin aur ka… Yeh gali mujhe yaad ho gayi hai. Aur jab mujhe yaad ho jaata hai toh mein naani tak pahunch jaata hun ).”
