As Oscars 2020 ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Indian National Congress decided to have its own set of political awards inspired by the Academy.

The Congress party’s Twitter handle decided to give out some awards to their rival political leaders and the thread is going crazy viral online. The category ranges from Best Actor in Comedic role to Best Actor in an Action role

For the best actor in an Action role, the party gave the award to PM Modi, while the nominees were Pragya Thakur and Yogi Adityanath. They wrote "It takes "56 inches" of "sweat and tears" to win this award. Here are the nominees & winner for best actor in an Action role."

For the best actor in a Negative role, the nominees were Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath and Anurag Thakur and apparently it went to Amit Shah.

The caption read, "Gabbar Singh & Mogambo are menaces of the past, "New India" brings a new set of villains. Here are the nominees & winner for best actor in a Negative role."

In the category for Best Actor in Comedic role, Congress gave the award to Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari. The other nominee included Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal.

"When things get dark, when the times are tough, we can all do with a little comedy to cheer us up. Fortunately, we have these timeless moments to get us through. Here are the nominations & winner for best actor in a Comedic role," wrote the Congress.

There was also an award for the best actor in a dramatic role which went to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
