Professor Hany Babu’s house searched; police allege his involvement in Bhima Koregaon case

The Pune Police today searched the house of Hany Babu, a professor of English at the University of Delhi

The Pune Police on Tuesday searched the house of Hany Babu, a professor of English at the University of Delhi.


The police alleged that he was involved in the Bhima Koregaon case. The police knocked at their door at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday without a search warrant, according to the professor’s wife.

Jenny Rowena, his wife alleged that the police said they could search the house without a warrant because the professor was involved in Bhima Koregaon case, .


After six hours of searching, the police took away his three books, his laptop, a phone, hard disks and pen drives.

They left his house at around 1: 30 p.m., according to the professor’s wife.
