Rihanna is not Pakistani!!

Some Twitter users  in India  have mistaken American pop singer Rihanna, who  created a storm by tweeting in support  of protesting Indian farmers, to be a Pakistani.

One presumes her name  has something to do with  it. Rihanna  who was born in  Barbados West Indies, is an American citizen. Pakistani netizens are having a good laugh at the expense of this misconception among a section of Indians.

Says a Pakistan Twitter user, “Indians calling Rihanna a Pakistani agent has got to be the highlight of his month”.

Another Twitter user remarked, “My favorite thing on the internet right now is political party leaders thinking Rihanna is Pakistani.”

A third Twitter user from Pakistan  wrote, “Yes everyone, it was actually rihanna who sang Dil Dil Pakistan.”

The  jokes from across the border continue. If only those calling Rihanna a Pakistani had done a quick fact-check.
