Banaras Hindu University is in the news again and this time it's for a #Metoo incident. A case has been registered against Professor Anand Chaudhry, the head of the faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, on grounds of sexually harassing and threatening a student.

The complaint has been filed by a research student against the professor.

On the other hand, Professor Chaudhry has denied allegations by calling it ‘a conspiracy against him’

The issue had already been investigated by the University in which he was given clean chit. During her research the student did not file any complaints now it’s just an attempt to defame him

The complainant had completed her research in the year 2017 and is now working in New York as as an Ayurveda Expert. She received her degree in the convocation held on Thursday, November 22, right after which she registered the complaint in Lanka Police station in Banaras.

“The issue had already been investigated by the University and he was given a clean chit. During her research the student did not file any complaints now it's just an attempt to defame him,” said the Professor

However, the authorities of the university and Professor Anand Chaudhry have ensured full cooperation in the investigation.
