Politics in the name of cow in Uttar Pradesh doesn’t seem to top. BJP leader Ranjit Srivastava of Barabanki, has now stirred a controversy by first ‘identifying’ the religion of a cow and then objected to the burial of cow’s carcass and suggested that it should burnt.

He then went a step ahead and said that cows living in Muslim houses should be taken back because their living in Muslim household also amounts to “love Jihad’.

“Cows at the houses of Muslims should be taken back. When we consider girls from our homes going to their homes 'love jihad', shouldn't we consider 'gau mata' going to their homes 'love jihad' too? Cows should be taken back from them at any cost,” said Ranjit

Ranjit Srivastava, former chairman of Barabanki Municipality said that a cow is never a Muslim, but a Hindu, and its funeral should also be performed by Hindu rituals.

“The cow last rites are being done according to the Muslim method, and they are buried, I have a great objection on this. According to our Vedic religion, the funeral should be done only by burning it.”
