Twitter resounds with rage over Kathua and Unnao rapes

Brutal rapes in Unnao and Kathua have sparked outrage across the country. People took to Twitter to express their anger against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.

The nation is outraged over two rape incidents — in Kathua and Unnao. Common people from all spheres of life joined Congress President Rahul Gandhi for a silent candle march to demand justice for rape victims on Friday night. Many, on the other hand, also took to Twitter to express their anger against the current government.

Some Twitter users criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on the incident.

Some Twitter users appealed to not make the heinous crime a religious issue or a political one.
