US President is scheduled to visit India along with his wife Melania Trump later this month. The White House in its announcement said Trump will make the trip to "strengthen the United States - India strategic partnership. He will be visiting Gujarat and Delhi on his two-day visit.

The preparation for Trump's visit has grabbed headlines, and a wall is being built in Ahemdabad to hide slums from the sight of US President.

According to a report in Reuters, the contractor building the wall said the government "did not want the slum to be seen" when Trump passes by on the ride from Ahmedabad’s airport.

"I’ve been ordered to build a wall as soon as possible, over 150 masons are working round-the-clock to finish the project," the contractor said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Not only this, but Ahmedabad municipal corporation (AMC) has also decided to have flowers worth ₹3.7 crores for the beautification of the stretch from Chimmanbhai Patel Bridge to Zundal Circle up to Motera.
