The truck that hit the car carrying Unnao rape survivor in Uttar Pradesh critically injuring the teen rape survivor and her lawyer and killing two of her aunts who were prime witnesses in the case, may have another BJP connection, according to a the police complaint. The truck in question in this accident on July 28 with its number plate wiped out is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

First Information Report (FIR) filed by the uncle of the rape survivor after the crash focuses majorly on BJP lawmaker Kuldeep Sengar.

Although, FIR shows that another BJP leader is an accused in the crash.

According to a report in NDTV, accused number 7 in the FIR, Arun Singh, is a Bharatiya Janata Party worker and a block president in Unnao, the rape survivor’s hometown. Arun Singh is said to be close to Kuldeep Sengar.

In a picture taken during the campaigning for recently held Lok Sabha election, Arun Singh can be spotted with the then BJP president and now Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Unnao BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj.

The NDTV report also mentions the fact that Arun Singh is the son-in-law of Ranvendra Pratap Singh aka "Dhunni Bhaiyya”, a minister in the Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh. Singh is the minister in charge of agriculture, agriculture education and research.

It is also interesting to note that, Ranvendra Singh is a BJP MLA from Husainpur seat in Fatehpur district, the same place to which the truck's owner and the truck driver belong too. However, there is no evidence to connect Ravendra Singh to either of the two.

The FIR states that Arun Singh and others were threatening the rape survivor's family pressurising them to withdraw the charges against Sengar.

"CBI is investigating the matter. Everything will be clear in the investigation. He is my relative, there is no doubt it, but that is not a crime," Ranvendra Singh has been quotes as saying in the NDTV report.
