In another twist over the issue of buses arranged by the Congress for UP migrants, the party on Friday levelled a sensational allegation against the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accusing him of giving instructions to his officials to fudge the registration numbers of the buses.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot said that the Congress party had actually offered a total of 1032 busses to ferry migrants, but the BJP government deliberately created obstacles so that migrants could not reach home.

Addressing the media along with Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariya in Jaipur, Sachin came down heavily on the UP government and said that the BJP government does not have any policy regarding the migrant’s crisis. Khachariya said that the Congress government cross checked each and every number and found that all belonged to the buses only.

Saying that UP CM Yogi Adityanath violated lockdown rules laid down by the Central government, Congress demanded registration of an FIR against the UP CM. As per directions issued by the Central government, buses involved in the transportation of migrants were given relaxation on fitness certificates till June 30, tweeted UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu.

On the question over the controversy over the payment for the buses, Congress leaders said that it was the UP government which offered to pay the bill. The Congress leaders have shared the letter with the media also.

Exposing “lies” told by the Yogi government, the UP Congress said that first they (BJP government) took credit for ferrying students stranded in Kota, then they asked the Rajasthan government to send the bill and eventually they blamed the Congress for sending them the bill.
