Upto 200 Units Of electricity to be free from today in Delhi, announces Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Power consumed between 201 and 400 units will be at half the price, he added.

There is a reduction in electricity rates. Power companies are in better financial health, infrastructure has improved and 24-hour power supply is being provided to the people of Delhi, said the CM.

“People used to pay ₹622 for 200 units of electricity till yesterday, now it's free. For 250 units they used to pay ₹800,now they'll pay ₹252. For 300 units they used to pay ₹971,now they'll pay ₹526. For 400 units, they used to pay ₹1320, now they'll pay ₹1075,” said Kejriwal


"Today the cheapest electricity in the country is in Delhi," the Chief Minister said, adding that this would encourage power saving.

"Nobody says anything if the VIPs and big politicians get free power. Why deprive the common man," Kejriwal said.
