In a shock for many, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari announced the dates of Delhi Assembly Elections during an interview with News18 , around two weeks before the Election Commission announced the dates!

Responding to a question by the anchor during an interview on December 19, 2019, Manoj Tiwari said: “Kejriwal Dabang hain ki nahi ye 8 February ko pata chal jayega (Whether Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is a Dabang or not, will become clear on February 8)“.

The EC announced the dates only on January 6, 2020, and surprise! the date was the same -- February 8!

When the host pointed out that the EC had not yet announced the date of polls, Tiwari just mumbled a few words before the host of the show, Amish Devgan, came to his rescue and quickly changed the topic.
