A middle aged woman was confronted by a group of young ladies in Gurgaon, Haryana after she allegedly asked men in a restaurant to rape them as some of them were wearing short skirts.

A video which has gone viral on social media shows some young women cornering the older woman and threatening to make her video "viral" if she doesn’t apologise for the rape comment.

"This middle aged woman you'll see in the video addressed seven men at the restaurant to rape us because she felt we deserved it for wearing short clothes and bashing her unsolicited opinion," stated Shivani Gupta on Facebook, who had shared the video.

After the incident at the restaurant, Gupta and her friends confronted the woman at a shopping centre nearby where they insisted that she apologise.

"Apologise right now. I will make your life a living hell if you don't apologise, I promise you that. I will make you viral," one of the young ladies can be heard asking the woman in the viral video.

This group of young women is then joined by men and women in the store and another woman also asks the middle age woman to apologise for her rape remark.

After about eight minutes, the middle aged woman speaks, "Hello guys, these ladies want to wear short dress to encourage all to see them. Theek hai? Wow, very good. All the ladies (should then) wear shorter dresses or remain naked to (be) raped. Hi all, if you are parents, please control your girls.”

The young women can be heard imitating the older woman's accent and pronunciation.

The woman later apologised on a Facebook post stating, “I extend an unconditional apology to all the girls. In hindsight, I realise, I was harsh and incorrect in my statement. If any, I should have offered my opinion in private. I was concerned, however, I realise that I should have been protective and progressive in my outlook and not conservative and regressive.

As a wife, sister and a mother and more importantly as a woman, I value ever woman's dignity. Once again, I profusely apologise to all women who's sentiments have been hurt.”
