What to expect from Supreme Court hearing on CAA, Faizan Mustafa explains; watch video

Ahead of Supreme court hearing on Citizenship Amendment Act, Dr. Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, in a video on Youtube channel explains what to expect from the hearing in the apex court. He also goes on to explain why this government is pushing for Citizenship Act and how it all started.

Mustafa also lists out three possibilities about the outcome of the hearing of over 140 petitions regarding this Act in the apex court.

Here are the three possible outcomes listed by Faizan Mustafa.

• The Supreme Court will very unlikely declare CAA valid and constitutional and dismisses the petitions
• Supreme court stays CAA and agrees to hear the arguments.
• The court refers the case to a larger Constitutional Bench.
