Congress leader and national spokesperson, Pawan Khera, launched a lethal attack against the government questioning the admission by Defence Ministry about Chinese transgression on Indian territory in a document uploaded in their official website, which was consequently deleted. The grand old party used the opportunity to assert that the lies of PM Modi stood exposed through the Defence Ministry‘s document and government must come clean on the ground reality on border tension at the northern frontier.

Pawan Khera questioned why were Chinese companies like UC Web Browser, Gamma Gaana Limited (Tencent of China) and ShareIT Technology were used by the BJP Government in the Lok Sabha elections. Congress claimed engaging Chinese companies jeopardised the privacy of Indian citizens by allowing direct access of data to them.

Congress posed some direct questions to the government on India’s position vis-a-vis China:

• What exactly is your relationship with China?

• Why do you come across as submissive in the relationship with China?

• What influence does China weild on our establishment?

• Why did your party take the help of China in the Lok Sabha elections?

• In doing so, why did you give away vital data of Indian citizens to China?

• Why did you compromise the data security and privacy of crores of Indians by involving Chinese companies linked to the PLA?

Congress urged PM Modi to end his silence over Chinese transgression and make the donation to PM Cares Fund transparent as there are reports of several Chinese companies have contributed funds.

Pawan Khera also took a swipe at BJP saying that RSS participates in exchange programmes with the Chinese Communist Party, while there are cordial relations of the high profile India Foundation functionaries with China. Congress hit out at the close association of the Vivekanand India Foundation, which plays a critical role in policy formulation with the government, claiming that it engaged with China on a regular basis.
