“Parliament is going to be prorogued till October 14,” said Boris Johnson. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has asked the Queen to suspend parliament early, i.e. from mid-September, a move intended to hamper the discussions going around a no deal Brexit. Critics are decrying this as an unconstitutional move.

According to CNN, Brexit is scheduled to take place on October 31, and Johnson has assured the UK they will leave the European Union on that date with or without a deal.

According to CNN, in a letter to politicians, Boris Johnson addressed the Parliament, saying "will have the opportunity to debate the Government's overall program, and approach to Brexit, in the run up to EU Council, and then vote on this on 21 and 22 October, once we know the outcome of the Council."

Commons Speaker John Bercow called the move a "constitutional outrage."

"It is blindingly obvious that the purpose of prorogation now would be to stop Parliament debating Brexit and performing its duty in shaping a course for the country," he said.

In a televised interview, Johnson said he was not looking to prevent the Parliament from debating Brexit plans.

His “Do or Die” position on Brexit has caused a lot of politicians of the Opposition to oppose the no-deal on Brexit. Opposition politicians were furious about the move on Wednesday.

"The possibility of passing legislation and a vote of no confidence” are one of the other options suggested by opposition parties such as the Labour Party, SNP, Liberal Democrats, Plaid Cymru, the Green Party and the Independent Group for Change.
