A video clip of the latest show of camaraderie between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has gone viral on the internet.

Putin and Mohammed bin Salman on Friday warmly shook hands when they were seated together at the G-20 economic summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The exuberant high-five has come at a time when most of the world leaders have been avoiding the Saudi crown prince after the gruesome killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. There is a growing furore regarding a Central Intelligence Agency report that hints at Saudi crown prince's alleged  involvement in the murder of the Washington Post journalist.

On the occasion, the crown prince was also reportedly seen speaking with French President Emmanuel Macron and others at the summit venue Friday in Buenos Aires. But Macron’s office wouldn’t comment on what was discussed, according to reports.

US President Donald Trump could be seen walking into the G20 summit in the background, in a post made by a Twitter user ‘HAWK1’:

Trump reportedly chatted with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the leaders of Japan and France during the group photo session at the G20 summit but cancelled a formal sit-down with Putin over Moscow’s seizure of Ukrainian vessels.

EU leaders, meanwhile, have urged G20 participants to address concerns about journalist safety and the Saudi-backed war in Yemen.
