As a choreographer my journey has been roller coaster; some times ups and sometimes down but journey is still going on.

What is the difference between modern dancing and classical? Why shouldn’t classical dancing be promoted professionally, commercially?

The difference between modern dancing and classical are very different modern dancing are more promoted because people love to see more of modern dance but there are films which promote classical dance and even, I personally promote classical dancing but it all depends on audience what they like. But if you ask in my context, we always promote classical form of dance.

Frankly speaking I didn’t face any difficulties switching from a dancer/choreographer to director because in Bollywood choreographer always gets chance to direct 5 minutes songs and from there, I got my experience and learned skills and started directing movies.

The message I want to give is that give your 100 per cent to whatever you like, be it dancing, acting or anything else in other professions also. In dancing, if you want to be a good dancer then you have to work on your skills, show your talent and never lose hope.
