Tell us about your journey

I started my journey with a love story Kasturi and I’m thankful to Ekta maam for the same. Then I moved on to play other roles which were as challenging-- a family drama with ‘Do Hanson Ka Joda’.. and played negative role too on screen and then funny roles in ‘Chiriyaghar’ and and then ‘Bhabhi Ji..’. I look forward to doing more interesting roles.. and want to surprise my audience.. I have done web with Anurag Basu sir. I learned all about acting and narration here in the industry only.. I was not a trained actor.. whatever I got to learn was in front of camera.. I feel like being a blessed child of the showbiz..

If you were not an actor what would you aspire to be?

I feel I would have been an actor only.. because it was acting only which was my dream.. I was very filmy since childhood.. so, I feel if by mistake had I joined any other field.. I would have been not so successful.

Who did you get motivated by and chose acting as a career?

As I was very filmy since my childhood.. and I use to act a lot in front of mirror. And I use watch mostly every films.. but in particular if I would have to mention, she was Sharmila Tagore. She inspired me a lot. I had learned bit of acting skills from her.

What’s challenging about bringing this script to life ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar par Hain’?

Bhabhi Ji changed my life.. and it was a challenge as I was replacing another actress but yes, I succeeded and even today people enjoy watching my show. I would say it was not as much a challenge as an opportunity to prove my calibre.

What’s the biggest challenge about taking on the role of ‘Angoori Bhabi’?

To portray that fun, innocence and silly jokes..

What makes a good scene partner?

I think acting is all about team work. Be it a film, web or TV or stage.. if you understand team work it goes well.. if you try to act with ego it’s the worst. I feel you need comfort level with your co-actors. Friendship and mutual respect is must.

What are your future plans as an actor?

Would love to try web, do some action now.. or may be a reality TV show.
