Disney+Hotstar streaming platform has introduced an interactive social feed to help a group of people (five at the most) to watch live cricket together. The feature started with the IPL play-offs.

In the feed, viewers and the live telecast will appear simultaneously in separate windows on smartphones allowing interaction along with running TV commentary.

This feature has been introduced after social distancing norms had made it hard for people to gather at a place and watch matches together.

Users have to click 'start video call' feature under the LIVE match stream and add up to 5 friends in portrait mode with an option of listening to the sports commentary over their conversation and control the volume of each to customise their experience.

Earlier in the season, Disney-Hotstar had brought in new features to the feed. Fans could share selfies using Hotshots and videos using Duets.
