92.7 BIG FM, one of India’s leading FM radio stations, is standing up for the cause of women’s safety aiming to have an effect on the growth and development of Delhi. The radio network has launched a campaign ‘Dilli Ke Dhaakad’ to talk about the issue of women’s safety across Delhi NCR, hoping to provide a solution to it.

Furthering this cause, the radio station has come up with a theme song ‘Dilli Ko Nirbhay Kar’ with the intent to educate more people about the daily struggles of Delhi women. The video features RJ Richa Anirudh who is leading the campaign along with RJ Khurafati Nitin, RJ Jassi, RJ Simran and RJ Yogi. Through the music video, BIG FM is trying to communicate the issue and inspire Delhiites to stop being mute spectators and take action towards women safety in Delhi which of late, unfortunately, has come to be called the ‘rape capital of India’.

Radio host and anchor of ''Zindagi with Richa", Richa Anirudh, said, It saddens me to see women around me constantly living in the fear and not stepping out. With this entire initiative and release of this new song, we are looking forward to encouraging women to come out fearlessly, fight for their rights and protect their own and each other’s dignity wherever and whenever required.”

The 3-month campaign started with an informal conversation around women not feeling safe in the city. The radio station keeping up with a fighting spirit to resolve the issue had done a reality-check on-ground which was followed by a panel discussion to spread awareness about women’s safety among the public so far. BIG FM RJs are striking conversations with people to understand the real challenges in a better manner and seek solutions to address the concerns.
