After a few BJP leaders threatened to attack Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar on social media, the party has filed complaint against two leaders of BJP in Goa.

The complaint filed by North Goa chief of Congress Vijai Bhike has named BJP’s State former General Secretary Satish Dhond, party’s youth wing office bearer Gajanan Tilve and others for threatening to attack Chodankar.

The BJP party members were annoyed with Chodankar, who while addressing media on Friday, asked chief minister Manohar Parrikar to relax after his treatment.

The complaint filed by North Goa chief of Congress Vijai Bhike has named BJP’s State former General Secretary Satish Dhond, party’s youth wing office bearer Gajanan Tilve and others for threatening to attack Chodankar.

Bhike has said that Tilve had threatened the President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee of being attacked by a mob similar to how former Goa chief Shantaram Naik was attacked a few years ago. “To Tilve’s post, former General Secretary of BJP Satish Dhond had commented that time had come for action and not words as that was Yuva Morcha,” pointed out Bhike.

The complaint was filed against the BJP leaders under section 351 (assault), 503 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 505 (public mischief) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code.
