Gujarat BJP’s youth wing leader apologises for tweet on media

A leader of the Gujarat BJP's youth wing on Tuesday apologised for his tweet which cast aspersions on media and accused it of giving hype to certain news about coronavirus tests for the sake of more TRP

After the tweet posted by Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha's (BJYM) Rutvij Patel on Monday was widely criticised and the Gujarat BJP unit also condemned it, the youth wing leader deleted it and tendered an apology, saying his intention was not to target the media.

Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya said Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken the issue seriously, and that the party has very high regard for the media.
