Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday had to withdraw his application which sought to add witnesses from Haryana in the Patiala House case.

Swamy had to give a signed statement before the magistrate that the Panchkula case was unconnected to the Patiala House case.

This is the fourth time Swamy has urged the court for summoning documents. Swamy's request has already been repeatedly rejected the last three times for being bad in law.

The Court has held that Swamy has been summoning irrelevant documents without explaining their necessity under the relevant provisions of law.

Swamy has been avoiding taking the witness stand.
