West Bengal extends COVID restrictions till Sept 30

27,176 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours
According to the health ministry, India reported 27,176 new Covid cases, 38,012 recoveries, and 284 deaths in the last 24 hours, ANI reported. This takes the total number of cases to 3,33,16,755 with 3,51,087 active cases in the country. India's total recoveries stand at 3,25,22,171 with 75,89,12,277 doses of the vaccines administered (61,15,690 in last 24 hrs). The death toll is now 4,43,497.
Biden denies that Xi turned down offer for face-to-face meeting

Two died after getting hit by a speeding car in Bengaluru
According to the Bengaluru Traffic Police, a man and a woman, died on the spot when their bike was hit by a speeding car on the Electronic City flyover, and they fell off the flyover. ANI reported that a case has been registered.
