LIVE Updates: Shivpal Singh Yadav detained by Lucknow Police

Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) leader Shivpal Singh Yadav, who was on his way to Lakhimpur Kheri, has been detained by Lucknow Police at Engineering College Chauraha, reported ANI.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel responded to UP Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi's order stating that the CM should not be allowed to land at Lucknow airport. The CM questioned why he was being prevented to enter Lucknow, when Section 144 was imposed only in Lakhimpur Kheri.

UP Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi has asked the Lucknow airport, not to allow Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel & Punjab Deputy CM Sukhjinder S Randhawa to land at the airport, reported ANI. Baghel & Randhawa have announced their visit Lakhimpur Kheri today, where 8 people died in clashes yesterday.
