‘Modani’ protests: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joins the ‘black’ jhola lineup
For today's demonstration outside Parliament, INDIA bloc MPs brought bags depicting PM Modi and Gautam Adani, with the legend 'Modi Adani bhai bhai'

Several opposition MPs on Tuesday, 10 December, demonstrated over the Adani issue on the Parliament premises, carrying jholas (bags) with caricatures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and billionaire Gautam Adani printed on one side and 'Modi–Adani bhai-bhai' written on the obverse.
This is the latest in a series of unusual daily protests led by the Congress ahead of the sitting of Parliament.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, MPs from the Congress, DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Left parties, among others, held a protest in front of the Makar Dwar steps.
They were carrying dark blue jholas with caricatures of Modi and Adani printed on one side and 'Modi–Adani bhai-bhai' written on the obverse.
They raised slogans against the alleged collusion between Modi and Adani and demanded a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the matter.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi chaired a meeting of Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha to take stock of the party's stance on various issues and the way forward in Parliament.
At the meeting, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is understood to have urged the MPs to come up with innovative protest ideas, as have been seen in the past few days.
The protest on Tuesday came a day after leaders of some INDIA bloc parties protested in the Parliament complex over the Adani row, with Rahul Gandhi conducting a mock 'interview' over the issue with Congress members wearing masks of Modi and Adani.
Standing in front of the Makar Dwar steps, Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with MPs of other opposition parties, had on Monday, 9 December, raised slogans of 'Modi, Adani ek hain (Modi and Adani are one)' and 'we want justice'.
The opposition protests on the Adani issue have been taking place in the Parliament complex since the start of the winter session.
The Congress and some other opposition parties have been demanding a JPC probe following the indictment of Adani and other company officials in a US court.
The Congress has said Adani's indictment "vindicates" its demand for a JPC probe into the various scams allegedly involving the billionaire industrialist's conglomerate.
Rahul Gandhi has sought Adani's immediate arrest.
The Adani Group has dismissed all allegations as 'baseless'.
